Massage
In technical terms, massage is the manipulation of soft tissues, typically with the aim of relieving pain, reducing stress or promoting healing and relaxation. In more everyday language, a therapist will typically use their hands to rub and manipulate the muscles and other tissue under the skin. There are many styles and schools of massage, from the purely sensual to those used by physiotherapists and sports therapists for treating injuries. At Arundel Physiotherapy, massage is just one of the treatments we offer as part of our physiotherapy programmes. If you feel you would like massage to be the main treatment please speak to your physiotherapist.
