
After graduating in 2006 from the University of Gloucestershire with a BSc in Sports and Exercise Science, Kat studied to gain a diploma in Sports massage. Continually working within multidisciplinary osteopathic and Physiotherapy teams. Kat has gained hands on experience treating musculoskeletal injuries and designing individual rehabilitation programmes to assist with an individual’s recovery and return to sport or full function.
Kat is also a qualified Pilates instructor teaching 1:1’s and group classes. As well as using hands on therapy such as assisted joint and muscle stretches or sports massage for injury. Pilates exercises may be incorporated into rehabilitation programmes to improve strength, flexibility and mobility, assisting clients to achieve their functional or sports specific goals.
Kat has always been actively involved in participating and coaching Sport and Exercise. Coaching jobs have included windsurf and kite surf instruction. Kat continues to be active in extreme sport, this has made her passionate about the rehabilitative and functional benefits of Pilates and massage in improving individual mobility, sport or functional achievements regardless of age. Kat plans to be out on the water for as long as her body is capable and keeps practicing Pilates daily to make this possible.
